It's been going quite a while and suddenly realized that I could use it for the forum posting.
Occasionally I get to see the advertisement by Burger franchises in which is a woman wearing bikini just sitting and eating a burger and expresses the spiciness of it with flapping hands and leaking her lips which for me just looks like she's trying to seduce someone with her sexuality. And I remember some time ago that burger advertisements weren't always like that. They tried to show what ingredients are in a burger, how it is made without any MSG and how tasty it is using some creative ways and computer graphics.
These days people are becoming quite dull to ordinary stuff that they seek some sensitive and powerful things and I think that is why advertisements on TV are becoming sensual and sexual to keep people watching otherwise they would just change the channel.
It is like a drug. One can feel something even with a small dose of it at first but gradually he/she needs and wants to feel more of it, searching for the stronger.
We should find a way to deliver a message in an advertising to appeal to viewers and potential buyers.

Hello Hanmaro, I've been wanting to post about this but I haven't yet. It is so true what you are saying. I have noticed that Carl's Jr. tends to use sexuality to improve sales. It is so ridiculous, you know these girls cannot possibly be eating burgers. I wonder if it actually works. Do you think it is more appealing to individuals after you see beautiful women eating a burger or not.

Sex and advertising is every where in advertising. I think its an effective technique. It provokes the audience to a topic that is somewhat controversial. There was an ad campaign for Spirit airlines that used the phrase "M.I.L.F" (many island low fares) to grab their customers attention. I assume we all know what it actually means.

I've noticed this too! I must say they're not very imaginative. I mean, I know that sex sells but it's not the only thing that sells. Think outside the box!

I remember a commercial for Carls Jr. a few years ago. The commercial featured Paris Hilton, washing a Bentley in a swimsuit and a pair of high heels. The commercial went viral on Youtube but I think it was banned from TV before it ever even aired.

It's just ridiculous that they are trying to sell a burger by using a woman in a swimsuit. What does that even have to do with burgers? And seriously, who eats a burger with sopping wet hands anyway?

When I see the ads of the Burgers using a women's sexuality, it really concerns me. I agree with you saying that advertisers need to come up with better concepts to advertise rather than a women's sexuality. Creativity is lacing in so many advertisers and then they only target a specific demographic. When ever I come across the Television ad, I comment, " If this models were to actually consume fast food burgers, they would not have that thin body." The ads from the burger franchise commercials just disappoint me.
