New advertisement of MasterCard shows how robot is capable of operating as a cashier in a restaurant place. It communicates well with clients, and understands questions, answers them and poses questions in return. The robot communicates with the clients through tablet placed in front of them, and on that tablet the visitor can monitor all of the order and transaction activity. I feel like the replacement of human with robot will be good for the economy, as the transition will make the life of people easier at it will reduce the cost for restaurant owners. The robot looks very easy to work with, but I have several things in mind in regards to the incorporation of robots in restaurants. One concern I am having, is that many people will have to find another way to support their families, and hospitality business gives support to many. Another issue I am having with robots is the fact that they do not have conscious, I don’t think that it will be able to react properly event special situation occurs, and they are not programmed to respond to it.
From the video is clear that the robot is capable of assisting the customer, it will be hard for me to adjust to the lack of personal connection with the employees of certain place.
