So they're on the news, social media, and magazines everywhere; Rihanna and Prince Harry. What in the world would these two have in common? Fortunately, they're not experimenting with a romantic fling because that might screw a lot of things up with the royal family. Actually, they were both in Barbados for World Aids Day.
Rihanna and Prince Harry were both getting tested for HIV to raise awareness for the cause and show the world how easy it is. Essentially, the whole thing was for a good cause and when you look at the video there are cameras and journalists everywhere as Rihanna and Prince Harry smile and wave while getting their fingers pricked. There's definitely not anything funny about AIDs but I think the awkwardness of the whole situation is something to giggle about. There's just this non-serious tone to the whole thing, like it's all for show I guess. I completely respect what they're doing as well as the message behind it; but I can't help but to wonder how things might change if the nurse suddenly looked down at one of the tests and said, "Prince Harry..unfortunately we have some bad news."

Hi Hudson,
Thanks for sharing.
I also was able to see the images of Prince Harry and Rihanna. I think that what they did to promote HIV and AIDS prevention was really smart, especially for the media coverage. In general, the royal family does a lot of humanitarian work which I think the Prince handles very well under the pressure he is constantly enduring. For the trip to Barbados, I believe they were also celebrating 50 years of independence. It's refreshing to see Rihanna promoting cultural and hometown pride, and that she values her roots and pre-pop singer days.

I think it was really an awesome thing that both of them did. I think it helped to spread awareness that everybody can get tested for HIV/AIDs and has easy ways to do it. I think that it is such a prevalant disease and to have to famous people out there promoting awareness for it is awesome. It is cool to watch people help to get messages across that can help everybody
