I found this article to be hilarious and absurd. This is about a man's arrest, made back in December. He was accused of having crystal meth in his car, after being stopped for speeding. Apparently the man was trying to explain to the police that it was the glaze from his Krispy Kreme doughnut. The officer apparently noticed "rock like substance" on the floorboard of the man's car. This officer apparently had eleven years of training and experience as a law enforcement officer. There is another strange piece in this "puzzle". This "substance" was sent in for two separate field tests, and both came back positive for the presence of amphetamines. The man was arrested, booked into county jail, and strip searched. Several weeks later, a state crime lab performed another test, and he was finally cleared. This man has apparently hired a lawyer and seeking damages from the city, and I believe rightfully so. It is still unknown why the two earlier field tests had tested positive for amphetamines though. It’s scary to think that something as innocent as the glaze from a Krispy Kreme doughnut can be confused with crystal meth or any supposed drug. It’s even scarier that this man was arrested, and booked into jail, all because of this misunderstanding. It shows that there are still flaws and room for mistakes no matter how “high tech” our society and our system has become.

LOL! Now this is hilarious how would a krispy kreme donut glazed be seen as crystal meth. It is also kinda weird that a cop would think that it would look like crystal meth. It makes him look dumb because he didn't know how to tell the difference. It must be scary to get arrested for being accused of having drugs when you don't have any. Of course I agree with you Erica on how society and our system has become.

Hey Erica, wow that is absurd! It really is crazy how the glaze from a doughnut was confused with crystal meth. It is even scary like you said that the person was arrested for this. This really makes me realize how careless our law enforcement can often be sometimes.
