La La Land is a recent movie that I went to watch at the theater. Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone, in my opinion, were outstanding and delivered one of the best performances for those who enjoy musicals. Ryan Gosling interprets a musician with the will to revive Jazz but lives with uncertainty of his future because he does not have a stable job. Emma Stone, portrays a barista in a production studio, but her main goal is to become an actress. They will then meet each other in many other occasions coincidentally, until they decide to make it more official. Then they are both in pursuit of their goals, while they encourage themselves along the way, but eventually reality would hit one of them. Their paths would then be deviated because they are both focused on their own goals.
After watching this movie, I have learned that many things will happen in life that can take you in many directions then the direction in which you had originally planned. Some may be for the good and some may be for bad, but on must not give up and know that anything can be done and moving forward will definitely get you through.

Hello George, I too am excited to see this film as I love anything with a musical genre to them, and the biggest plus is that it stars both Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone. I was suplose to see this but was put on a tough position as I had didn't get to make it to the premiere, but hopefully I get to watch it soon, because I heard that the cinematography, the music and the film shots are spectacular and beautifully driven.

Thanks for sharing. That is a really funny name for a film. And then, I question if that has anything to do with how I feel when I watch movies. When I watch movies, it feels like I'm in La La land because of how it is far from reality and how sometimes ideas are far-fetched. In other words, some of things that happen in movies are exaggerated and sometimes nonsensical and doesn't make sense. It kind of goes against logic and reasoning. I think because of the way I think while watching films, I think I have grown and matured by taking this gender class because I stop myself to think about the underlying message and portrayals and representations and intersectionality and etc in the film. In fact, there's an explosion of ideas.
