Jill Stein and other liberals recently raised over $4.5 million and is trying raise $7 million total to launch an investigation about possible voting fraud. This came after voting experts reported there being security breeches and hacks in certain counties in states such as Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The investigation is calling for a recount of votes in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, all of which are swing states meaning that the states tend to have almost equal Democrat and Republican votes and often are close calls during elections. While Jill Stein said that she wasn't doing this to benefit Hillary Clinton or her campaign but rather wanted to bring awareness to the possible voter fraud. What I find interesting is that Donald Trump complained about voter fraud but because he won the electoral votes, he now doesn't have any complaints. While I am not excited about Trump being president, I do not know how much this investigation is going to accomplish in terms of this election. Clinton won the popular vote by 2 million votes yet Trump still won the presidential election due to the Electoral College which could be due to winning the states with more electoral representation. Regardless, if it does turn out that Clinton was in fact supposed to win, what will the government do to rectify the situation? If there is nothing they can or want to do, how will voter fraud affect future elections? I think these are all really interesting questions to think about.

I've heard some talk of the investigation as well. I guess we'll just have to sit back and see what happens but it seems that I've only heard about the investigation through the grapevine. I haven't seen any major news sources say anything about it which leads me to believe that there probably won't be an investigation after all, but who knows. And yes, Trump has attacked anything that doesn't push him toward the presidency. He's done it in the past and he'll do it in the future. Back in 2012, he tweeted that the electoral college makes for a rigged democracy. Welp..he won the electoral vote and lost the popular vote so he's keeping his mouth shut on that. This is who we're about to have in office.
