So this week the D'Angelo Russell recording Nick Young video went viral. Russell was asking Nick Young questions about the 19 year old girl Young had hooked up with along with other questions regarding Amber Rose. Young is engaged to rapper Iggy Azalea currently. At the end of the video you hear Russell saying, "I'm glad you told my video all that." Obviously Young doesn't know he's being recorded. I'm sure if he did he wouldn't have said those things.

Everyone was criticizing Russell for breaking the "bro code" and recording it, but Young admitted to cheating on his fiancée which is morally wrong. D'Angelo Russell is supposed to be the team leader going forward after Kobe retires, but after this incident he lost trust with his fellow Laker teammates. As a former athlete the locker room and camaraderie are essential to building team chemistry. NBA players spend so much time together that they need to get along. It was apparent that things weren't going great after the Lakers 48 point lost to the Utah Jazz on Monday.

I just want to know how did this video get leaked. Young felt safe answering Russell's question because he was in his hotel room talking to one of his boys and yet it still got out. Russell would be stupid to post this online with regards to what they were talking about. It must have gotten leaked by someone else.

I found this story interesting too, and the biggest issue for me was with how the media covered it. There was a considerable amount more said about how D'Angelo Russell betrayed his teammate and how they are now isolating him in the locker room. I think isolating him is as childish and immature as the act that caused them to do it. He made a big mistake yes, but for me the media didn't talk about the real issue and that is Nick young cheating on his girlfriend. by not talking about this as the main issue it is showing the viewers that cheating is not that bad as long as you don't get caught or have a friend video you admitting to it.

The media puts D'Angelo in the spotlight. I don't know if you guys read Bleacher Report, but they are just filled with hate. Take D Rose as another victim to media representation. When Rose came out of his most recent injury he was struggling to find is former self. Bleacher report completely shattered the image of the former MVP. They would post clips of him missing a layup and throwing airballs. Basically just being a bully.

This story was interesting to me in so many ways, it is crazy because we see how both Young and Russell are wrong. We see how Young was disloyal to his future wife, yet we see russell disloyal to his friend. One part of me feels like Young is wrong and Russell should feel no regret because his friend was disrespecting the person that he should love most. However we see Russell ruin not only his friendship but the dynamic of his team. On top of all of this I look at how Russell is looked at as the villain not Nick who was disrespecting the main woman in his life; and this makes me feel bad for D'angelo. Over all I feel like there is so much chaos in this situation, Iggy Nicks future wife needs to move on, Young needs to be traded, and D'angelo needs to play ball. Time heals all wounds, everything will be okay...eventually.
