Since it is almost Halloween, I wanted to share something that I really enjoy from BuzzFeed. They have created a series called “BuzzFeed Unsolved” and it usually consists of really creepy incidents. They even covered some horrifying murders such that of deaths from the Dyaltov Pass and the Zodiac Killer. Although they are really creepy, I don’t necessarily find it scary and I am able to sleep at ease. However, the last case of the 46 minute video actually scared me.

First, I just wanted to talk about how I watched a horrifying movie when I was very little. Because my mother does not speak English too well, and because my mother really likes the actor Harrison Ford, we had watched a horror film without knowing it. The film was called What Lies Beneath. Because I watched this as a 6 year old, I was traumatized and I had trouble showering in the restroom by myself. In the movie, there was a very scary scene where a women was paralyzed in the bathtub, and when Harrison Ford came in, the women flipped over and she all of a sudden turned into a very grotesque looking figure. And that had resonated in my mind for most of my childhood years. Learning about Bloody Marry at school didn’t help me either.

Now that I am all grown up and matured, I really don’t find showering all that scary anymore. In fact, I am most thoughtful and creative in the restroom. It’s as if I all of a sudden become this philosopher or artist in the shower. It has a lot to do with the fact that my mind is not under any kind of stress or pressure. I can’t believe the horror movie had kept me from enjoying showers as I currently enjoy right now. Anyway, I find horror related ideas not that scary at all. I know better than to be scared because of how most of them are clearly fabricated and some of them are just merely myths to explain the inexplicable. With that said, watching "BuzzFeed’s Unsolved" are actually entertaining as opposed to scary and I am able to sleep or shower without any fear or hesitation. However, watching the last case actually frightened me a bit. When the flashlight turned on by itself, my brain had shut down and I wasn’t able to explain why that had happened. I had automatically came to the conclusion that it was the demon. And then, all of a sudden, my father entered my room without knocking, and my goodness, my father really scared me. After finishing the youtube video, I had realized that the flashlight turning on by itself was just a prank on Ryan. Now that I think of it, that’s really funny.

I was also scared when I was younger to shower by myself. It was mostly due to my cousin who LOVED reading scary stories. One of the stories was about how a girl would take a shower and while she was trying to wash out her shampoo she could never get all the shampoo out. So she open up her eyes and look up to try to understand why. It turns out there was a ghost bleeding on her head or something like that.

That story literally ruined my child hood. I would always look up to see if there was a ghost whenever I wash my hair. :(

Anyways, Happy Halloween I hope you had a good time :)

Hi Jospeh,

I love watching documentaries like this, regardless of what time of year it is. I mean indeed with it being the Halloween time, it makes it so much more interesting and "creepier".

I think that with this video footage it can really help people believe in things like this, the paranormal, the spirits, etc. But also benefit for any present or future investigations and research based on these spirits, demons, ghosts, etc.

I am glad you were able to find this, watch it and review it for us!
