Just today, Samsung revealed their latest item on smartphones, the Galaxy S4. Just as expected, there a number of upgrades from the Galaxy S3, which is why I find this device to be another hit from Samsung. The new features to this device is the improved hardware, the focus on the camera, and new touchscreen features. Although realistically, these features aren't that much of a difference from its past devices, I can already see the number of interest people have on this new product through facebook, youtube, and other social networks.

I have recently bought the Samsung Note2 a few months ago, and reading this article on their new device has really got me interested in upgrading my phone. This is why I find media to be so powerful and amazing how it can persuade people to purchase something that is unnecessary and a waste of money. Of course it would be ridiculous of me to change my phone after just 3 months of buying the new Samsung Note2 when it had just come out.

It also got me thinking of how smart these smartphone companies are to change and upgrade their devices every year, having people want to spend money on it. Thinking back to when smartphones didn't exist, and texting and taking pictures was such a big deal when first created, it's amazing how much our economy has developed in just a few years. It's hard to believe that people are able to create and make these devices work and be possible. In the past, I would not have even imagined our world being so developed in technology as it is today.

I just read the news on the new product from Samsung today. I agree with you that the technology has been really developed and can't believe how people can think of these technologies and make it happen in the reality. I now can't imagine our lives without technology, especially smartphones. I am using Galaxy S2 from Samsung for a year and half now and want to get a new phone everytime I see the news on new products. I think smartphones are so worth of its money. These smartphones are getting better and better in technology almost every year. I can't even imagine how our lives going to be like in the future, or maybe in few years from now.

What if I told you there was a phone with a 41 mp camera, and that came out last year? Gotta love consumerism. I was just looking for an S3 online, and I heard about the S4. To be honest, its gimmicks you probably wont even use. I know I've made that mistake before. I JUST bought a tablet and have not even touched it and was about to replace it with a Note 2. It is likely that you will end up just using the phone for texting, 4-5 calls a years (since who talks nowadays right?), and the occasional vanity snapshot. I am hesitant about the S3 if it werent for the easily breakable screen many have reported, so I may resort to the Note 2. By the way, how is the Note 2 for reading files such as pdfs? I realize my nexus tablet can do that, but I want something more portable and with a good camera. I am more curious about google glass.

I love smartphones for the safety they provide. Smartphones provide security if your car breaks down, it you get lost or if you feel threatened while waiting at the bus stop. No other technology has made people feel more connected with emergency services as well as family and friends who run to their rescue.

I'm currently using iPhone 4s, iPod touch 2nd generation, and iPad 2. I personally don't care about obtaining latest devices. I just have no desire for that (and I got those iPhone, iPod, and iPad from my parents and boyfriend. I never begged for it or anything like that). But whenever the newer version comes out, the media is making me feel like what I'm having right now is bunch of antiques. Anyhow, since I know that's what the business and media does for living, I simply ignore them.

To be honest, I am really surprised that this many people own and use Samsung products. That isn't meant in a negative or condescending way whatsoever, I was just under the impression that this is still an Apple product heavy market. I have been reading online that Samsung is Apple's biggest competition at the moment and now I can see that this is very true. Personally, I don't know if I could make the switch because I am so used to the iPhone's user interface and its ability to sync with my MacBook and iPad. I don't usually keep up with the newest upgrades and still have the iPhone 4S as well as the first iPad because I don't see a need to change my products so often. If they still work and I'm still satisfied, I'm usually fine. Having said that, I still believe that it is useful to keep up to date with new features and technologies.
