I saw the same topic in youtube these two days. It is Black Friday haul. It is about the youtubers show and review what did they buy in black Friday. But what is Black Friday? It is funny that it is not a traditional of thanksgiving. It is just a way that the retailers make the consumers shop more. There were cases about how crazy the people are to shop in Black Friday. Honestly, I did buy a little stuff. I bought some gifts for the my friends and family as Christmas gift. I think it is really a good way to make people buy more and I am the one who cannot stay calm. However, I feel sad that I am not being environmentally friendly. There are a lot of packaging and buying a lot makes more trash. The world is already suffering. I feel regret and sorry. But at least, I didn't buy anything for myself and I buy the most useful thing for my friends. I hope I can improve myself and being more environmentally friendly next time.

Hii Jennifer, I think your post was so sweet. At least you feel regret regarding packaging, trash, etc. I’m sure a lot of other people wouldn’t even consider it. It’s crazy how holidays have been/are used to just sell more to consumers. I know that people get ready, line up, and even fight at some of these Black Friday sales. Sadly, I myself don’t even know what Black Friday is actually meant to be, and if it’s something other than an “event” or day that was completely made up by retailers. I’m sure there are other people, like me, who know what Black Friday is about (sales, discounts, buying more stuff), but aren’t actually aware of where it might have originated from. I know that I have never taken the time to even look it up…. Oh, and we can’t forget Cyber Monday. I think it’s nice that you even take the time to think, and hope to improve and be more environmentally friendly!
