This is an article discussing that science has finally confirmed that people absorb energy from others (emotions, the environment, etc.) This is particularly interesting for me because I grew up with my mother being very... spiritual. She would always tell me to stay away from people with "bad energy", and that it was contagious. Even in today's society, you hear phrases like "Good vibes only" and such. I always believed in the idea that people absorbed energy from one another, and that it is important to surround yourself with good energy. I remember when I was younger, I’d be afraid to talk about things like “energy” and “good energy” and “bad energy”: I was afraid it would make sound a bit “weird”. It’s just even more just fascinating to see that there is science now that partially backs this up. A Dr. Olivia Bader-Lee is mentioned to have stated that "Humans can absorb and heal through other humans, animals, and any part of nature. That’s why being around nature is often uplifting and energizing for so many people". I’m definitely not a huge supporter of technology personally, but this kind of energy study is definitely something that catches my attention and that I find pretty intriguing.

Hi Erica,

I'm not sure that using the word "energy" is accurate. I think that people react to others emotions. For example, if you're in a room with sad people, you're less likely to be extremely happy. I would love for you to post the article so I could read it!
