Journals & Publications

Each fall and spring, students in Santa Monica College's Media Literacy course (Communication 2) are tasked with writing articles for the Student Journal for Media Literacy Education. Students are presented with a thematic focus for the particular issue and choose a topic from a list of prompts within that theme. Professor Nick Pernisco edits the journal and guides students through the process, but does not censor students or otherwise limit the direction of their articles.
